Founder & Managing Director – Mr Seah Kian Hoe

Seah Kian Hoe (“Kian”) is the founder and managing director of Heng Hiap Industries (HHI). Established since 2002, HHI has been at the forefront of developing and innovating plastic recycling technology. Having developed Smart Plastics to address plastic manufacturers’ need for high quality, customized recycled plastic resin, Kian also designed the Smart Factory in Johor Bahru Malaysia from the ground up. The factory is GBI-certified (“Green Building Index”) Gold and is now producing PLASHAUS Ocean Plastic while implementing a full track-and-trace program that directly addresses plastic consumers’ concerns about marine pollution. In the last 18 years, Kian and HHI have won multiple accolades for business leadership and product innovation – the most recent one being the Frost and Sullivan “2020 Malaysia Smart Waste Solutions Technology Innovation Award”.

Sustainability Manager – Mr Mooreyameen Mohamad

- 12.5 years in Shell; 2 years as producer in BFM; 2.5 years as Marketing and Sales Manager (East of Suez) in Petronas; 4 years as Chief of Staff in Petra Group.
Graduated in 1998 as a mechanical engineer from University of Edinburgh (on a Shell scholarship), and spent over 12 years in various roles in the Shell Lubricants division. After a short break, he joined a Kuala Lumpur business radio station, BFM89.9. In 2012 he was nominated by the US State Department for the International Visitor Leadership Program (IVLP). In 2013, he joined PETRONAS Base Oil as Sales and Marketing Manager for the East in Kuala Lumpur. He have spoken at base oil industry conferences in Singapore and London. In 2015, He joined Petra Group as Special Assistant to the Chairman. In 2018, his photography project “Stripes and Strokes” was exhibited in the Georgetown Festival in Penang. In 2019, he joined Heng Hiap Industries as Sustainability Manager.
